The spirit of cycling in the Tweed is ready to get recharged at the Battle this September. Race with your mates, boost the recovering Tweed economy and challenge the Tweed Valley as 4-stage tour or opt in to individual races.
The purpose of the not-for-profit Battle Recharge is to bring the cycling community together for some great country laneway racing and to support the return of sports tourism in the region.
The event is part of state tourism's initiative to help the Tweed recover from the flood devastation and Battle Recharge is cycling’s small way of contributing to the community who have so willingly welcomed bikes into their shire over the many years. Everyone with a pushee is invited.
New for 2017 is the opportunity for non-Cycling Australia graded racers to participate in their own two-day Challenge Tour utilising the same courses as the elite riders. See the nation’s best up close and personal, then compare your times - just how fast are they really?
Let's bring the cycling community together to support one of our strong community supporters. Over 9 years, the Tweed has been a great friend of the Battle - let's do our part to help boost the region. There are so many great things to do in the area, some great cafes and restaurants. Come and discover this beautiful part of New South Wales.
Proceeds from the Challenge event will be going to help the Murwillumbah Panthers Cricket Club and Murwillumbah Football Club who's club house and equipment was destroyed by vandals after the Cyclone Debbie floods.
